Clinical studies
AO Foundation

GOLDHAHN regularly assists the AO Foundation with its scientific projects and clinical studies. For example, surgeons usually fix broken bones in the operating room with the help of radiographic monitoring. We carried out a multinational study for the AO Foundation that looked at how difficult it is to identify bone structures on a broken femoral neck and put it back in its correct position. The study focused on whether targeted, video-assisted training enabled surgeons to better evaluate X-rays in the operating room, leading to better surgical outcomes.
